Chocolate heart shaped fudge

Is the way to your partner’s heart through their stomach? Then this heart shaped chocolate pistachio fudge will make the perfect Valentines gift.

I whipped these up last night, it was quick and easy. They taste divine.

It’s a Nigella Lawson number adapted by cutting into heart shapes.

All you need is

350g plain dark 70% cocoa chocolate

397g can of condensed milk

30g butter (unsalted)

Pinch of salt

150g pistachio nuts

Melt chocolate, condensed milk, salt and butter in a pan over a low heat. Stirring occasionally.

Place the nuts into a plastic freezer bag and bash with a rolling pin. The girls did this bit and loved every minute.

Add the nuts to the melted chocolate and stir well so it’s mixed thoroughly.

Pour into a foil lined tray (approx 23cm sq) and smooth over the top

Place in fridge to set  (I left mine overnight).

Take a heart shaped cutter and cut away

Makes 40 hearts with some scrappy bits left over that the kids will enjoy.
