World Health Organisation admit mobiles may be linked to cancer

Recent research from the World Health Organisation has found that cell phone radiation may be linked to cancer. The WHO and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) last week stated that there's evidence that mobile phones may be carcinogenic. That possible link between mobile phone use and cancer was limited to glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer. The WHO and the IARC were unable to determine if mobile-phone use caused other types of cancers.

This week, Corporate Accountability International (CAI), a nonprofit organisation that fights corporate abuses (representing a group of 550 healthcare workers) launched a campaign appealing to McDonalds to retire Ronald and appealing for people across the globe to join forces and stop McDonalds marketing junk food to children using methods such as toys and the clown. Despite a robust protest from McDonalds CEO "Ronald McDonald is going nowhere. As the face of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Ronald is an ambassador for good and delivers important messages to kids on safety, literacy and balanced, active lifestyles."

Arg - my daughter is in her first year of primary school and has just come home with a letter announcing that the whole school is teeming with the dreaded head lice. In an attempt to avoid the highly chemical solutions used when I was a child I have done some research and come up with a selection of natural alternatives. Lice are tiny insects commonly found living on the scalp and within the hair. The condition is very common among young children. Head lice can be transmittable and spreads by sharing combs, hairbrushes, caps, hats and hair accessories.
