Continue ReadingThe European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has concluded that there is no convincing evidence to cause it to ban or further restrict exposure to the controversial chemical BPA used in plastic bottles and containers. Despite evidence of links to breast cancer, the EFSA has disappointingly taken the decision against restricting or banning bisphenol-A (BPA), saying there is not convincing evidence of the toxicity of BPA. This comes despite the fact that countries such as Taiwan, Canada, Denmark, Sweden and France have all branded BPA as toxic and hazardous to health.
